Faubion Honors Orchestra to Perform at Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference in Chicago

The Faubion Honors Orchestra is one of only two middle school orchestras to receive the prestigious invitation to perform at the Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference to be held Dec. 20–22, 2023, in Chicago. MISD CTE Tours Help 8th Graders Chart a Course for High School and Beyond

The McKinney ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) program held its annual CTE Tours on Nov. 6–7 and Nov. 10 at the MISD Community Event Center. The tours gave 8th graders a chance to check out the CTE offerings from McKinney Boyd High School, McKinney High School and McKinney North High School, to ask questions and begin to chart a course for high school with specific careers in mind.

95 MISD Juniors and Seniors Earn 97 National Merit and College Board Recognitions

This fall, officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced the names of 22 McKinney ISD seniors from McKinney Boyd High School, McKinney High School and McKinney North High School whose outstanding results on the PSAT/NMSQT earned them recognition as Commended Scholars and 7 who earned the highly prestigious designation of National Merit Semifinalist. In addition, College Board announced the names of 18 MISD students honored in the National African American Recognition Program, 42 who were honored in the National Hispanic Recognition Program, 6 who earned distinction in the National Indigenous Recognition Program and 2 who were honored in the National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program for their exceptional performance on the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10 or AP Exams.
