UIL Realignment Brings Changes for McKinney North while Boyd and MHS Remain in Familiar District 5-6A
UIL released its Texas high school athletics realignment for the 2022–2024 school years on Thursday, Feb. 3. McKinney Boyd High School and McKinney High School will remain in a virtually unchanged District 5-6A, while new opponents and more travel await McKinney North football in District 7-5A.

MISD Names McNeil’s Christi Jordan New McClure Elementary AP
McKinney ISD has announced that McNeil Elementary Instructional Coach Christi Jordan has been hired as the new assistant principal of McClure Elementary. The move was approved by the MISD Board of Trustees at their regular meeting held Tuesday, January 25. Jordan brings 8 years of experience in education to her new role as assistant principal.
TASB Board Recognition Month: Meet Your MISD Board of Trustees
January is designated each year as School Board Recognition Month by the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB), and MISD has joined other districts across the state in thanking the men and women who serve in the crucial role of school board trustee.
Free Food Distribution at MISD Stadium on January 26 from 3-5 p.m.
Food boxes will be distributed on January 26 from 3-5 p.m. Each family will receive two large boxes of food per distribution, one containing perishable produce and dairy products, and the other containing shelf-stable items including fruits, vegetable, and proteins.
COVID-19 Update: TEA Announces Policy Change for Staff
McKinney ISD continues to receive guidance and updates from Collin County Health Care Services and the Texas Education Agency (TEA) regarding COVID-19. On Friday, January 7, TEA amended its guidance regarding the recommended isolation period for staff who test positive for COVID-19 or experience COVID-19 symptoms.
