  • Distribución gratuita de alimentos en el MISD Stadium el 26 de enero de 3 a 5 p.m.

Families throughout North Texas continue to be financially impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, which also impacts their ability to purchase food. The USDA conservatively estimates that there are more than 100,000 Collin County residents who currently do not have enough to eat, including at least 40,000 Collin County children who go to bed hungry each night.

In response to this, Alliance of Elite Youth Leadership (AEYL) and Community Lifeline Center (CLC), two nonprofit organizations based in McKinney, have joined forces to launch a new program called “Feeding Friends and Families.”

Feeding Friends & Families is a low/no touch drive-thru community-wide event built to provide needed food to families at no cost to them. Food boxes will be distributed on January 26 from 3-5 p.m. at MISD Stadium (4201 Hardin Blvd., McKinney, TX 75070). Each family will receive nuts, dried fruit, dairy and a box of shelf-stable items.

Visit feedingfriendsandfamilies.org for more information.
