“All human beings are born with unique gifts. The healthy functioning of our community depends on its capacity to develop each gift.”
Peter Senge 'The Learning School.'

The mission of Scott Johnson Middle School, the champion of inspired learning and academic excellence, is to empower students to problem solve, embrace their uniqueness, and become life-long learners by creating a safe and nurturing culture that promotes and encourages trust, individual responsibility, and diversity in a collaborative partnership of students, parents, teachers, and the community. We believe that excellence is a never ending journey that requires passion and purpose. We believe that personal relationships and connections are vital to learning. Encouraging students to focus on leadership and self worth, we embrace Tiger P.R.I.D.E. by modeling and reinforcing perseverance, respect, integrity, determination and excellence. As we celebrate learning and embrace diversity, our learning community fosters the belief that all students can and will excel.
