October 2022 Update – Any individual seeking to speak at the Regular Board meeting must complete and submit the online Speaker Participation Form no later than 12 p.m. (noon) the day of the board meeting. The Speaker Participation Form will be active online beginning at 4 p.m. the Friday before the meeting and will be deactivated at 12 p.m. (noon) the day of the meeting.

McKinney, TX — McKinney ISD announced today that beginning with its regular meeting of the Board of Trustees scheduled for Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the McKinney ISD Community Event Center (CEC), the public comment, or open forum, portion of board meetings will take place from 6 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Public comment provides an opportunity for members of the McKinney ISD community to address the board about a topic that may or may not be on the board meeting agenda. Speakers are allotted 1-3 minutes to speak during public comment, depending on the number of people who have signed up to speak. The doors to the CEC will open at 5:30 p.m., and those who wish to participate during public comment must complete a speaker participation form that will be available in the foyer before the meeting.

At the conclusion of the public comment portion of the meeting, the board will move into closed session, and the open meeting will resume at approximately 7 p.m. following closed session.

With the exception of the closed session portion of board meetings, all MISD board meetings are open to the public.
