Mark Wood and the combined orchestras of Cockrill, Dowell, Evans, Faubion and Scott Johnson middle schools performed at the McKinney High School Performing Arts Center in December.

Recording artist, performer, Emmy award-winning composer and music education advocate Mark Wood dedicated his time and talent to our McKinney ISD middle school orchestra students in December by hosting a clinic and concert at the McKinney High School Performing Arts Center.

The show featured Wood and a vast multitude of 500 MISD orchestra kids rocking their way through a wide-ranging selection of classic songs, including a show-stopping rendition of “Carol of the Bells.” Here’s a quick look at the sold out concert, which was made possible through a generous grant from the McKinney Education Foundation.
