McKinney, Texas – McKinney ISD has once again been named a Best Place to Work by the Dallas Business Journal (DBJ), making 2022 the fifth year that the district has been recognized as a top employer by the magazine.

In 2018, MISD was named the #1 Best Place to Work in the Extra-Large category, and this year’s final rankings will be announced in October at the annual Best Places to Work Awards luncheon. MISD also made the Best Places to Work lists in 2016, 2017 and 2019.

“I am, once again, so very proud that McKinney ISD has been named one of the Best Places to Work in the D/FW metroplex,” said MISD Superintendent Dr. Rick McDaniel. “It is a collective effort to promote a positive culture and show our faculty and staff how much they are appreciated. We sincerely hope that all employees in our district are pleased with the work environment we’ve created and look forward to coming to work each day. District culture is a priority, and because of that, we will continue our efforts to improve at every opportunity.”

Now in its 20th year, the DBJ Best Places to Work program showcases the top 100 companies in the North Texas region in five classifications: Micro (10-24 employees), Small (25-49), Medium (50-249), Large (250-999) and Extra-large (1000 +). To be eligible, organizations must have at least 10 employees and be located in Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Grayson, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant or Wise counties.

Results are based upon feedback collected through employee surveys by Quantum Workplace and honorees are chosen from among hundreds of entries.
