McKinney, Texas — In McKinney ISD’s continuing effort to offer students comparatively low-cost test preparation opportunities for college entrance exams, the district will host a ZAPS SAT preparation seminar on February 18.

Already this year, the district has offered a PSAT/SAT prep seminar in October that filled up quickly and an ACT session in January that was also well-attended. Now students have another chance to get ready for the SAT:

ZAPS SAT Test Prep Seminar
Presented by Doorway to College Foundation
McKinney ISD Central Administration
1 Duvall St., McKinney, TX 75069
Central Board Room
Monday, Feb. 18, 2019
9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Price: $64

(New for 2019—All students receive D2CF’s full length, online ACT Practice Test with seminar registration.)

Presented by Doorway to College Foundation (D2CF), the seminar offers professional test preparation for $64—a cost that has been discounted by ZAPS and is substantially lower than some of the other test prep offerings available on the market.

According to ZAPS, in an independent study involving 170 students who took the SAT before and after attending a ZAPS SAT seminar presented by D2CF, students with subject scores of 500 and above before attending the ZAPS seminar saw an average increase of 29.2 points on their Reading and Writing scores and 21.9 points on their Math scores. Students with subject scores below 500 before the ZAPS seminar saw an increase of 49.4 points in Reading and Writing and 31.5 points in Math.

In the five-hour SAT seminar, students will—
—learn tips to improve in all subtests
—practice strategies to eliminate wrong choices
—take short practice tests that mirror the real test experience
—reduce test anxiety and gain confidence
—receive extensive materials for home practice
—and much more!

Reserve a space for your student: Get more information or register by clicking here or call 877-927-8378 for assistance. (Please note that this class has a 60 student capacity.)

Students should bring two pencils and a calculator to the seminar.

Full-day seminars include a 30 to 45 minute lunch break; students are responsible for their own lunches.
