New McKinney North High School Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Kendall Brewer

McKinney, Texas – With the announcement last week that longtime McKinney North High School Head Football Coach Mike Fecci will be McKinney ISD’s new associate athletic director, the district has chosen Kendall Brewer to lead the Bulldogs in District 7-5A as the school’s new athletic director and head football coach. With that decision, Brewer becomes just the third head football coach in McKinney North history.

Brewer is certainly no stranger to the football program at North. He joined the coaching staff 7 years ago to serve as an assistant football and track coach and the North head powerlifting coach. And, for the past two seasons, he’s been North’s associate football coach and offensive coordinator.

“We are excited that Coach Kendall Brewer will be leading our McKinney North Bulldogs,” said MISD Athletic Director Jennifer Frazier. “Coach Brewer has been a staple of the success the Bulldogs have experienced, but more importantly, he is a constant student of the game, seeking to get better in all facets of football. His ability to build relationships with athletes will be the foundation for continued success at McKinney North. Coach Brewer is surrounded by a very talented football staff and we trust, under his leadership, the Bulldogs will have continued success.”

In 2020, Brewer was named the MISD Assistant Coach of the Year, and in 2018, he received the MISD Inspirational Teacher Award.

Prior to his work in McKinney, Brewer was a strength and conditioning coach for Performance Course from 2009–2014 and taught at Workman Junior High School in Arlington during the 2014–2015 school year.

“I am very blessed and honored to be the next athletic coordinator and head football coach of the McKinney North Bulldogs,” said Brewer. “I plan to continue our long tradition of success and achieve even greater heights in the future.”

Brewer was a collegiate football player at Texas State University and completed his bachelor’s degree there in 2014.
