Bedrooms, Backpacks and Beyond Hosted by MISD Substance Use Prevention Committee
On Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, the McKinney ISD Substance Use Prevention Committee will once again host “Bedrooms, Backpacks and Beyond,” a workshop the committee introduced two years ago as a resource to parents. The interactive workshop offers the opportunity to connect with other parents as well as the chance to learn from experts in the field of substance use prevention. Topics discussed will include: social media, substance use trends, community resources and how to start conversations with your kids. The event is free, and there is no registration required to attend. Childcare is not provided.
