Evans Middle School Refresh Progress - August 2022, Athletic field resurfacing

Evans Middle School will receive a campus refresh using 2021 bond dollars. So far, the school’s athletic field has received a new turf surface. In addition to the turf field and a more comprehensive refresh, all schools are receiving improvements in the following areas: safety and security (cameras, lock-down buttons, and infrastructure), and technology (network systems, data storage, public-address systems, bell systems, clocks, and audio/visual equipment).

Lexi Vera, Evans MS Soccer Coach I'm super excited that we have the turf field. Overall turf is going to allow the girls to have a safer playing environment and fully optimize their skills and potential on the soccer field. Grass wasn't a flat surface; there were a lot of dips in the ground. With turf, it elevates the speed of the game, so it raises the level of competition.
