The McKinney ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2024–2025 MISD school calendar at their regular meeting on Monday, Nov. 13, and it is now available on the MISD website.
Each month, after McKinney ISD school board meetings, the district will provide a brief summary of events and items covered during the session to bring the community the most up to date information about the district. This month, Board Member Stephanie O'Dell provides an overview of the meeting held on Monday, Nov. 13 at the MISD Community Event Center.
The McKinney ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) program held its annual CTE Tours on Nov. 6–7 and Nov. 10 at the MISD Community Event Center. The tours gave 8th graders a chance to check out the CTE offerings from McKinney Boyd High School, McKinney High School and McKinney North High School, to ask questions and begin to chart a course for high school with specific careers in mind.
McKinney ISD has received the TASBO Award of Merit for Purchasing, which was established in 2009 to recognize Texas school districts that are committed to following professional standards in the acquisition of goods and services.
Please join us for the 2nd Annual MISD Father Daughter Dance for a night of dancing, door prizes, pictures, and light refreshments.
This dance is for young ladies in K – 5th grade. You do not have to be a McKinney ISD student to attend the dance.
The dance will be held on Saturday, December 2, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at McKinney Boyd High School.

The Parent Partner Committee of the Coalition for Behavioral Healthcare in Collin County (CBHCC) was formed to work alongside the education committee to develop, implement, and evaluate an effective and flexible model of support for parents in Collin County so they can make educated decisions for their families about issues of mental health, mental illness, substance use, and other related conditions-to provide accurate information and supports to families and reduce the stigma of seeking treatment for Collin County youth.
Parents can access their student’s Canvas account as an “observer.” Parent Observer accounts have limited permissions that allow parents to see what is going on in a course without interrupting the flow of daily course communication.
