Our 2nd grade butterflies are off to new adventures! Our students enjoyed learning about the life cycle and watching them grow!

Butterflies have arrived in 2nd grade! Ask your student about the lifecycle of a butterfly.

Our chicks have arrived in 1st grade! We can't wait to watch them grow!!

This morning 2nd and 3rd graders were treated to an author visit by local author/teacher and former Bennett parent Melissa Eddy. Mrs. Eddy recently published her first book, The First Saturday in May about a racehorse who doesn't have much chance of winning his first Kentucky Derby. But with support, courage, and perseverance Sammie is determined to try his best. Look for it in our newsletter or on Amazon!

This week in the learning commons we were able to finalize our celebration of National Library Week. Students and staff earned tickets for participating in activities all week and then placed in them bags for books we were giving away. All books were purchased from the book fairs using book fair funds! We gifted a book to Mrs Martin in 5th grade and a Barnes and Noble gift card to Mrs Vera!
Congratulations to all of our student winners!!

“I think it’s awesome that I get to teach my passion. That really carries me through all of the times that are hard, and just seeing the joy of them making art is my favorite.”
