Welcome to the 2021-22 school year. This newsletter serves as a resource for parents as they begin to prepare for the upcoming school year. Please remember that the first day of school for the 2021-22 school year is August 12, 2021.

New Kinder – 12th grade students – register at campuses beginning July 19th. High school and middle school registration is by appointment. Prior to visiting the campus, it is recommended that parents complete the online registration forms for each new student. Click here for more information about new student registration.
Returning student registration information will be emailed to parents of individual students the week of June 7th with a unique snap code that is needed to begin the online registration process for that student. Note: Parents may not receive snap codes for all of their students at the same time. Click here for more information about returning student registration.
MISD office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Mon. through Fri.
Elementary school hours are 8 a.m. to 3:07 p.m., Mon. through Fri.
Middle school hours are 8:45 a.m. to 3:52 p.m., Mon. through Fri.
High school hours are 7:30 a.m. to 2:37 p.m., Mon. through Fri.
MISD school supply lists are different depending on which campus your student will attend. Each campus maintains their own supply lists. MISD high schools do not maintain a campus wide supply list. High school students receive their school supply information during the first week of classes in August.

Each MISD campus hosts at least one back to school night each Fall. Please see the document linked below for information about when your school’s Back-to-School night is scheduled.
All staff, students, and visitors should self-screen and monitor themselves for communicable disease signs and symptoms; including symptoms of COVID-19 prior to entering the buildings. Please continue to check the COVID-19 webpages frequently for updates.

By law, McKinney ISD must have an immunization record for each student on file. These records must be up-to-date at the time of registration. Students entering MISD for the first time must present written verification of the required immunizations at the time of enrollment.

MISD Childcare Programs offer a wide variety of child care options for children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 12 years. The programs include Club 360 After School, Holiday Care, Summer Camp, Infant and Toddler Care at Lawson and Preschool Programs at MHS, MNHS and MBHS.
Care is available August 2-6 and August 9-10 for Academy Week. Care is for incoming Kindergarten – incoming 5th grade students. Enrollment is limited so sign up early. For additional information please contact Lorie Harvey at [email protected].

McKinney ISD teams with Durham School Services to transport students to school safe, on time, and ready to learn each day. Part of this service includes a online Bus Route Locator that parents can use to determine where and when our buses stop each day.

MISD’s Home Access Center (HAC) is where parents can access their student’s course information, assignments, grades, attendance, fees, and where student report card information will be posted.
If you have any questions or are in need of login information, please contact your school’s front office.
Please make sure your laptop is fully charged and verify that you can login to it before returning to school. If you cannot remember your password or need other technical support, the Summer Student Help Center will remain open from 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. & 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. through July 29th at Faubion Middle School – Room D101 or you may call 469-302-8888 to have your password reset. Student Tech Support will resume at your home campus on the first day of school – August 12th.
McKinney ISD maintains district Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages. In addition to these district level social media pages, each campus also maintains both a Facebook and Twitter page.
