Minshew will be hosting a K–5 Career Day on Friday, October 16, 2026.
Students will hear from parent and community guest speakers, and classes will rotate through career-themed stations across campus. Volunteer speakers are welcome, and we invite parents and community members from all professions to share their careers in short 15–20 minute sessions.

Minshew Elementary had a fantastic time at MISD's Convocation with the theme of "Game Day"! We were thrilled when Minshew's 3rd grade teacher, Brooke Hancock, was selected to kick a field goal to win $500 for her classroom! Luckily, she was able to select a student from MHS to kick the field goal on her behalf at the last minute.
Day 2 of Academy Week - Our First Grade team engaged in professional learning with MISD's reading and math coordinators. This team can't wait to welcome their 1st graders in just a few days!

Our team is gearing up for an amazing school year! Teachers are spending time at the Digital Leadership Academy learning, collaborating, and exploring innovative ways to enhance teaching and learning. From new technology tools to engaging instructional strategies, they are investing in professional growth to create meaningful learning experiences for every student.
