Today is National Forgiveness Day, and it's a great opportunity to remember that everyone makes mistakes.
One of the strongest things we can do is choose kindness, offer forgiveness, and give others the chance to learn and grow. A kind word, a fresh start, or simply saying "I forgive you" can make a big difference.
As Red Hawks, we know that our school is strongest when we show compassion, respect, and grace to one another. Let's continue building a community where everyone feels valued, supported, and encouraged to soar.
Here's to fresh starts, kind hearts, and soaring together! ❤️

We are excited to introduce you to our newest Malvern staff over the next few weeks. Help us give a big Red Hawk welcome to Heather Rodriguez! Ms. Rodriguez says: "Hello, Malvern Elementary! I am excited and honored to join the Malvern family as an Assistant Principal. I bring 16 years of experience in education, including the past four years serving as Assistant Principal at Wolford Elementary, and I am passionate about supporting students, staff, and families. My husband and I are both educators in McKinney ISD, and we have two children, Hazel and Haddon. I look forward to building meaningful relationships and partnering with our school community to help every student succeed."

Did you know today is National Hydration Day? Even us Red Hawks know that staying hydrated helps us soar higher, think clearer, and feel our best!
Whether you're playing outside, swimming, traveling, or just enjoying summer break, don't forget to keep a water bottle nearby and take plenty of water breaks. Your body (and your brain!) will thank you!
I'm making it my mission today to sip, soar, and stay cool!
How are YOU staying hydrated this summer? Tell me in the comments! 💙❤️

Today, we celebrate all the fathers and father figures who help our scholars learn, grow, and believe in themselves. Whether through encouragement, wisdom, laughter, or simply being present, your impact matters more than you know.
Thank you for helping our Red Hawks soar. ❤️🦅💙

On June 19, 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas and announced that all enslaved people were free more than two years after President Abraham Lincoln had issued the Emancipation Proclamation.
Juneteenth became a federal holiday in 2021 to honor this important moment in American history and to recognize the struggles, resilience, and contributions of Black Americans.

As Rocky proudly holds the Stars and Stripes, we are reminded of the importance of respect, responsibility, and caring for our community. At Malvern, we strive to help our scholars grow into thoughtful citizens who lead with kindness and integrity.
Happy Flag Day from our Red Hawk family! ❤️💙🦅

Before your scholar heads home for summer break, please remind them to check the Lost & Found for any missing jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, or other belongings. All items remaining after tomorrow will be donated next week.
Thank you for a wonderful school year, and we hope everyone has a safe and fun summer!

Please let us know you plan to be in attendance by completing the Kindergarten Graduation RSVP.

This past week, we proudly hosted Malvern’s Inaugural Career Day, and what an incredible experience it was for our scholars!
All grades, Kindergarten through 5th grade, had the opportunity to learn from professionals representing more than 26 different careers. From social workers, lawyers, paralegals, chefs, engineers, entrepreneurs, recruiters, Realtors, and healthcare professionals to field technicians, auditors, and even a United States Marine currently attending college using military benefits. Our scholars were inspired by the many paths available to them.
We are especially excited to continue highlighting the growing Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs within McKinney Independent School District and helping students begin making real-world connections at an early age.
A huge THANK YOU to the parents, community members, and volunteers who gave their time to invest in our scholars and share their stories. Your willingness to pour into the next generation made today truly special.
We are already looking forward to expanding Career Day even more next year! #EveryStudentEveryDay #RedHawksRising #MalvernRedHawks #CareerDay #MISD #FutureReady
