🇺🇸 Today we pause to remember September 11, 2001. While our students are too young to remember that day, we honor the bravery, kindness, and unity shown by so many. Let’s continue to teach our children the importance of helping others, showing respect, and choosing kindness every day. #EveryStudentEveryDay #RedHawksRising #911Remembrance

Because of your amazing support, our Red Hawks have earned a special day to bring their favorite stuffy to school! We encourage our students to bring a lap size, or smaller, stuffed animal to school with them on Friday, September 12, 2025. Student's stuffy doesn't need to be new or fancy - just one that is loved! #EveryStudentEveryDay #RedHawksRising #SupportOurFundraiser #StuffyDay

Dear Red Hawk Families -

Please be aware that today, September 9, 2025, Malvern Elementary students and staff participated in a campus emergency drill. This was a Lock Down Drill according to our Standard Response Protocol. Students and staff have discussed our campus emergency procedures and we will continue to review these throughout the school year.

Student safety is always our top priority and practicing these drills further prepares our students and staff for emergency situations.

For additional information regarding our emergency procedures, please visit our website. As always, we appreciate your support to keep our students safe and focused on learning.

This week, Malvern Elementary will be practicing a Lockdown Drill as part of our school’s safety procedures. This is only a drill and there is no danger to our students or staff. The drill be be conducted by the McKinney Police Department.

A Lockdown is used when there is a safety concern inside or very close to the building. During the drill, teachers will lock classroom doors, turn off lights, and students will move quietly out of sight. This practice is part of the Standard Response Protocol (SRP), which is used in schools across the country to help everyone know exactly what to do in an emergency.

We know these drills can feel serious, but practicing helps our Red Hawk scholars and staff stay safe and prepared.

Thank you for your support as we work together to keep our school community safe.

Schools are required to conduct monthly fire drills.🔥🏫 These drills help ensure that students and staff know exactly what to do in case of an emergency.

Practicing safe and orderly evacuations builds confidence, reduces panic, and keeps everyone protected. Your child’s safety is our top priority! ❤️👩‍🚒👨‍🏫
