Congratulations to our December Lego Master's winner with this amazing ornament submission! Today we launch our January Lego Challenge, encouraging students to create their own Lego Snowman! Students may work on this at home. Submissions are due by January 23rd.

Today we celebrate one of our amazing paraprofessionals as our Malvern Team Member for November/December 2025. Ms. Rosey is a true asset to Malvern, consistently going above and beyond to support both students and staff. Whether she’s on crosswalk duty, pulling small groups, covering a classroom, or stepping in wherever she’s needed, she does so with a never-ending positive attitude and smile. Her greatest joy is brightening students’ days, which shines through in the beautiful and creative art displays and bulletin boards she creates throughout the building—especially during the holidays. Malvern’s Red Hawks showed just how generous our community truly is! Through our canned food drive, scholars collected 620 cans of corn and green beans to support the MacTown Miracles Food Drive in connection with McKinney High School STUCO. Rumor has it that our campus collected more than any other elementary school in McKinney! 🎉

This incredible accomplishment speaks volumes about the kindness, compassion, and generosity of our Malvern community. Our Red Hawks loved welcoming students from Evans Middle School Choir, Band, and Orchestra to Malvern earlier this week. Our 5th graders enjoyed learning about the many fine arts opportunities available in middle school and hearing firsthand what each program has to offer. A sweet surprise for our staff! Earlier this week, Malvern’s Sunshine Committee spread some extra cheer by rolling through the building with a roaming hot chocolate bar, complete with festive holiday music to get everyone in the spirit. From warm mugs to cheerful tunes and smiling faces, it was the perfect way to brighten the day. Students explored energy concepts hands-on by building and testing a gravity maze, using teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity along the way. What a fun way to learn through discovery!
