Tomorrow is dress as your favorite Superhero!

Tomorrow kicks off our READ-A-THON! We hope you will join in the fun of our special reading days. Monday, we are celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday! Dress in all things Seuss!

Our 5th graders recently experienced a true Right of Passage at 5th Grade Camp at Texas Elks Camp on beautiful Lake Texoma!
Students spent the day strengthening teamwork skills, building leadership, and creating unforgettable memories with their classmates. From hands-on science learning outside the classroom to meaningful team-building activities, it was a day filled with growth, laughter, and connection. Oh, and don't forget the s'mores!
We are so proud of our 5th graders for stepping outside their comfort zones, supporting one another, and embracing this special milestone experience! #EveryStudentEveryDay #RedHawksRising #5thGradeCamp

This week our Student Lighthouse leaders will be sharing their shoe tying skills with our Kindergarten - Second Grade scholars. We love seeing our older scholars sharing their knowledge with their younger schoolmates! #EveryStudentEveryDay #RedHawksRising #StudentLighthouse #TeachingSkills

Happy birthday Ms. Terri!

Malvern Elementary is honored to participate in this year’s KG’s Kids Hall of Fame Reading Challenge!
Last week, our 5th grade scholars received a very special delivery when David Granson, CEO of KG's Kids Inc., visited campus personally to place the novels directly into their hands. What an incredible experience for our students!
This year’s selection comes from the Texas Bluebonnet Award list and is written by beloved author Katherine Applegate. The story was chosen not only for its literary excellence, but also for its powerful themes of friendship, compassion, resilience, and the meaning of having, and sometimes mending, a broken heart.
As our 5th graders prepare to close their elementary chapter and look ahead to middle school, this novel provides the perfect opportunity for meaningful conversations about relationships, growth, and supporting one another through life’s changes. We are excited for the rich discussions and reflections that will take place in classrooms in the weeks ahead.
We are grateful to be part of this special reading challenge and look forward to cheering on our scholars as they prepare for the school competition. School winners will advance to the regional competition held on the beautiful campus of Southern Methodist University. What an amazing opportunity!

Today we proudly celebrate School Resource Officer Appreciation Day and give a huge THANK YOU to Sgt. Tasha Tell! 💙
Sgt. Tell is more than just a familiar face on our campus. She is a protector, a mentor, and a trusted friend to our students and staff. Each day, she helps ensure our school is a safe place to learn and grow, greeting students with a smile and high-five, offering guidance when needed, and building positive relationships that make a lasting impact.
We are incredibly grateful for her dedication, her leadership, and the calm presence she brings to our halls. Thank you, Sgt. Tell, for the care you show our school community and for all you do to keep us safe. We appreciate you today and every day! #EveryStudentEveryDay #RedHawksRising #SROAppreciation #RetiredDPD

Just a friendly reminder that Monday, February 16 is a student holiday in observance of Presidents Day. While students will enjoy the day off, it will be a teacher workday, and our staff will be learning and growing right alongside our scholars. Our second graders in Ms. Kimmel's class put their measurement skills to the test with a hands-on activity called “A Bed Fit for a Queen!” Scholars explored length and size by measuring and designing a royal-worthy bed, using teamwork, problem-solving, and plenty of creativity. Learning is always more exciting when you can build it, measure it, and see it come to life! #EveryStudentEveryDay #RedHawksRising #SecondGrade
