Hi, families! We just wanted to clarify for next year that the Choose McKinney open enrollment program does NOT apply to Lawson. It is only for certain elementary schools and middle schools. The spirit of giving came early today because McKinney Education Foundation honored Lawson EC School with FIVE grant checks that will directly impact our Lawson Sea Lions! We are so grateful and full of gratitude and appreciation to MEF for their support.

We had a great "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" Lawson Style! The students read books like Balloons over Broadway and watched some videos of Mrs. Towber in New York at the parade herself. After that, the students designed their own balloons to replicate this special Thanksgiving tradition! It was a great day to be a Lawson Sea Lion! Have a great break and we will see you in December.

Sea Lion Opportunity coming up! Your child can hang out with a Varsity Basketball Lady Bronco! For 75 dollars it includes: A t-shirt, free admission to one home game, an autographed mini basketball and picture, meet the team and coaches, and join the team on the court for the National Anthem and pre-game activities! Who is coming out to see us on Thursday night? Save the date and time- You won't want to miss IMPACT Night and Book Fair on November 14th from 4:30-5:30pm! Come join us for this come and go event where you can take home book activities for the whole family and a night of parents and students learning and playing together.

We had the best time at Lawson Stadium Night. We got our picture on the Jumbotron and even had an appearance by Sammie the Sea Lion! Although McKinney Boyd lost the football game to Allen 63-16, our spirits were high seeing all of your smiling faces. Thanks for coming out Lawson.

Story Book Character Day was a hit! All of our Sea Lions looked so cute. We had a morning and afternoon parade to celebrate their character costumes. Best day ever! Thanks so much for your continued support as always to make these meaningful memories for our kids.
