School Holiday coming up! Fall Break Oct 13-17.

October has already been a busy month, celebrating some of the most important people on our staff here at Lawson! We loved spoiling Lupita and Maria with breakfast and lunch on October 2nd to show them how much we appreciate their hard work and effort into Lawson for National Custodian Day. Then October 7th we recognized a special position at Lawson, Instructional Coach. Emily Black provides not only excellent, knowledgeable support to our staff but she has already made such an impact with our students her first year at Lawson. Congrats to our amazing staff this month! Sea Lion Proud!

Looking for something fun to do while supporting our school on a Friday night? Come to the McKinney Boyd High School football game with a Lawson tshirt/or Lawson badge to get your student into the game for free. They will make an appearance on the field and enjoy gathering with friends. Please see the flyer for more information.

Our Meet the Teacher date is August 7, from 3:30-4:30. This is a great time to see the classroom. As the principals, we would like 15 minutes of your time before or after seeing the classroom. Here are the times for a brief information session about Lawson. Please attend one. We look forward to seeing each of you.

Megan Gnerlich is the 2025 Teacher of the Year for Lawson Early Childhood School. She teaches pre-kindergarten and inclusion class, and she has worked as an educator for over 15 years.

Last week was National Assistant Principals Appreciation Week! 🌟 A huge thank you to our amazing assistant principals, Veronica Muizers and Kelly McKee, for all you do for our faculty, staff, and students. Your hard work and dedication make a difference every day! We couldn't do it without you!

Thank you to all who participated in our Plastic Bag Challenge! A big THANK YOU to H.E.B. for presenting this challenge to schools all over the metroplex. Just for participating, H.E.B is giving our school $150 to spend at their store!!! This will go towards making our Teacher Appreciation Week in May the best EVER! We love our Sea Lions.
