Jeff Banner brings over two decades of experience in education and currently serves as the Executive Director of Secondary Leadership. In this role, he provides direct support to secondary administrators, guiding and mentoring them in all aspects of school leadership to drive student success and organizational effectiveness.
Throughout his career, Jeff has held a wide range of positions that reflect his deep commitment to education and student development. His previous roles include classroom teacher, coach, athletic trainer, athletic director, dean of students, assistant principal, and principal. Prior to his current position, Jeff was a High School Principal for eight years.
As the principal of a large school, he focused on ensuring every student felt seen, valued, and connected. Jeff accomplished this by “shrinking” the campus – effectively creating smaller learning communities, fostering strong relationships among staff and students, and promoting programs and systems that made a big school feel personal.
Jeff holds a B.S. in Education & Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin, a M.S. in Sports Medicine from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and a M.Ed. in School Administration from Lamar University.
