August 10th-5-6 PM-Meet the Teacher August 13th-First Day of School 8:10 AM-3:20 PM- don't forget to bring your photo ID if you plan on walking your child to class on the first day. (We can not accept pictures of an ID) August 13th-8:10 am-PTA Tears & Cheers in McGowen Library

Meet the Teacher- August 10th between 5-6 PM. Drop off supplies and say hi! This is a come and go event. Students who ordered supplies from EPI last year will have their supplies in their classroom.

We are so grateful to have had an opportunity to have our namesake, Mr. Jesse McGowen Jr. at every event this week! What a pleasure it is to be the leader of his school. We love you, Mr. McGowen!

Tomorrow, May 14th is our McGowen Family Night from 5-6 PM. We will meet on our McGowen Playground. We will have free snow cones, music, and fun games! We can't wait to mingle with our future Mavericks coming from McNeil!

Michelle Haas is the 2026 Teacher of the Year for McGowen Elementary. She is a 3rd grade teacher, and she has worked as an educator for 23 years.

McGowen PTA Movie Night! April 23rd-5:30 PM!

Our 1st graders at McGowen are learning about Life Cycles in science by observing the life cycle of a chicken. We are in our Chicken Era! 🐣

Monday, April 20th is our McGowen Site Based Decision Making Meeting. This meeting is open to the public! 3:40 PM in our McGowen Library.

We love giving out these amazing positive office referrals and making positive phone calls home to parents!
