🎉 Happy Birthday to the one and only Dr. Seuss! 🎉 Today, we celebrate the incredible legacy of Theodor Seuss Geisel, the imaginative mind behind some of the most beloved children's books of all time. From the whimsical world of "The Cat in the Hat" to the profound messages of "The Lorax," his stories have touched the hearts of generations. Did you know? Dr. Seuss wrote over 60 books, sold more than 600 million copies worldwide, and his works have been translated into more than 20 languages! That's a truly remarkable achievement! Join Rocky in appreciating the magic, the rhymes, and the timeless lessons he gifted us. What's your favorite Dr. Seuss book? Malvern Elementary has decided to hold a Read-A-Thon this year! Read-A-Thons actually get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more. Our Read-A-Thon starts Sunday March 2, 2025. About one week before our Read-A-Thon starts we will send home instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress. We encourage you to activate your reader’s account today by clicking on https://www.read-a-thon.com/readers/r/FUmtiX/1 and following the simple instructions. We've chosen Read-A-Thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read and helps in the development of stronger reading skills. We hope EVERYONE participates. Thanks so much, Malvern Elementary

This month we are focusing on Habit 6: Synergize, the power of working together! Synergize teaches scholars that teamwork, being open minded, and valuing differences help us achieve more together than we could alone. Whether in the classroom, on the playground, or at home, Red Hawks are learning that great ideas come from collaboration and that everyone has something valuable to contribute. You can reinforce this habit at home by encouraging family projects, playing team-based games, or discussing how different perspectives can solve problems in creative ways. Together, we can empower our scholars to become stronger leaders by embracing the power of teamwork!
