Bennett Families,
We will have our 1st Lock Down drill for the 24/25 school year at 8:30am tomorrow. This is a time we will practice how to respond should someone or something who should not be is around or inside our school building. This is the same verbiage we use with our students.
As the drill is conducted, the McKinney Police Department will be on campus to assist in checking to ensure our classroom doors are locked and our window coverings are effective. Students will also hear a repeated phrase, "this campus is lockdown. lights, locks, out of sight".
We ask that you talk with your student about the increased police presence , the importance of taking the drill seriously, and the "practice" nature of the drill tomorrow.
Thank you!
Kassie Halpin, Principal
Anita Tillson, Assistant Principal
