McKinney ISD is proud to announce that Tommy Gillett, an exceptional educator at Burks Elementary, has been named the 2026 Region 10 Elementary Teacher of the Year. Selected from outstanding educators across Region 10, Tommy now advances as one of Texas' top educators in the Texas Teacher of the Year program, representing both McKinney ISD and Region 10 at the state level.
