McKinney, Texas — With the return of teachers and students on the not-too-distant horizon, McKinney ISD district and campus administrators joined Superintendent Shawn Pratt this morning at the MISD Community Event Center to kick off the annual three-day MISD Leadership Summit.

Under the theme "United in Purpose, Forward with Focus," the event brought together leaders from across MISD to connect with colleagues, reflect on last year's successes and lead the way forward into the 2025-2026 school year!

Thank you to the participants of the Teacher of the Year panel for their time and insightful remarks: Katie Abel (McKinney Boyd High School), Holly Bianchetta (Frazier Elementary School), Christina Branch (Dowell Middle School), Jackie Harrison (Valley Creek Elementary), Derrick Jeter (Cockrill Middle School) and Karla Pineda (Vega Elementary).

And, special thanks to the NorthStars from McKinney North and the cheerleaders from Scott Johnson Middle School for helping kick off the day!
