MISD Graduation Ceremonies in Photos and Video!

McKinney ISD held its 2023 Graduation ceremonies for McKinney High School, McKinney North High School and McKinney Boyd High School on Friday, May 26, 2023, at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas.

McKinney, Texas — The day started at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 26, with the graduates of McKinney High School flooding onto the floor of the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, in an ebullient sea of blue and gold.

The festivities continued at 1 p.m., when the seniors of McKinney North High School emerged from the tunnels of the arena amid the strains of “Pomp and Circumstance” in a stately procession of orange and blue.

At 5:30 p.m., the McKinney Boyd High School seniors had their turn as they made their way to their seats in long lines of resplendent red.

And, while MHS had the honor of being the first school to present its Class of 2023 graduates, it was the graduates from Boyd who brought the joyful day of celebration to a conclusion at about 7:30 p.m. by flinging their brilliant red caps into the air in the traditional manner.

By the time the Broncos tossed their hats skyward, some 1,800 seniors from MHS, North and Boyd had made their way across the stage to receive their diplomas and be officially declared graduates.

Graduation is always one of the highlights of the year for MISD, a day filled with both heartfelt reflection on days past and eager anticipation of what lies ahead.
