Measures of Academic Progress - MAP

Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Growth is a nationally normed, standardized, computer-adaptive assessment developed by the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA). It measures students’ current academic achievement relative to national norms and grade-level expectations, adjusts to each student’s ability, and helps identify what they are ready to learn next.

McKinney ISD administers MAP Growth assessments three times a year to students in grades K-9 in math, grades 1-9 reading, and grades 4-8 science. Teachers use the results to better understand each student’s individual learning needs, guide instruction, and monitor academic growth across testing periods and multiple years.
