Summer School Informational Webinar
MISD students currently in grades 8-12 have the opportunity to enroll in online courses to accelerate their coursework or recover credits through online learning. We invite you to join us for an informational webinar on March 26 from 5:30-6:30 PM to learn more about these opportunities and the enrollment process.

McKinney ISD Summer School Information
McKinney ISD students have the opportunity to accelerate their coursework by enrolling in additional online courses or to recover credit if they fail a course or semester. These courses are available to current MISD students entering grades 9–12 in the 2026–27 school year. Courses are self-paced and taught by MISD teachers through the Canvas LMS platform. Students may enroll in two courses (1.0 credit) during the summer term. Courses are approved by your child’s counselor during the registration process.
Summer School Dates:
June 1: Canvas Course Opens at 8:00 AM
June 19: Canvas Course Closes at 9:00 AM - All coursework must be completed before 9:00 AM
Students who have completed less than 50% of the course on June 18 at 9:00 AM will be dropped from the course.
Summer School teachers will monitor student progress, unlock assessments as appropriate, and respond to student messages and emails during designated office hours. Teachers will send a welcome email to students and their parents/guardians on May 28, 2026. If you do not receive your welcome email by 1:00 PM on this date, please contact the summer school office. summerschool@mckinneyisd.net
