The next MISD School Board General Election is anticipated to be on May 1, 2027. Two seats are up for election:

School Trustee, Place 6

The following school board election is anticipated to be May 5, 2029.

ANTICIPATED FILING PERIOD JANUARY 13 - FEBRUARY 12, 2027

The next MISD School Board General Election is anticipated to be held May 1, 2027. Board candidate packets will be available at the McKinney ISD Administration Building (1 Duvall Street, McKinney, Texas 75069). While the election calendar has not yet been released by the Texas Secretary of State, the filing period is expected to open January 13, 2027, and the last day to file for a place on the ballot is expected to be 4:15 p.m., February 12, 2027.
