HB 1416 Accelerated Instruction Requirements

HB 1416, passed by lawmakers in 2023, established requirements for students who do not pass STAAR.The law requires school districts to provide tutoring, or accelerated instruction, to students in each STAAR-tested subject where they did not perform satisfactorily. By state law, this includes students who do not test since they do not have a passing score.
