2026-2027 Rezoning: Athletics Transition Guide

Commitment to the Current Season (2025-2026)

  • Roster Integrity: Students will remain fully eligible and integrated members of their current teams for the duration of the 2025-2026 season. Rezoning will have no impact on current rosters, playing time, or competitive opportunities.

  • Competitive Excellence: Our coaching staffs’ remain committed to competing at the highest level with their current rosters. Every athlete will receive the same coaching and developmental opportunities regardless of their 2026-2027 campus assignment.

Tryouts & Spring Transitions

  • Spring Tryouts (2026-2027 Season): Students scheduled to move to a new campus for the 2026-2027 school year will try out for teams at their newly zoned campus during the spring.

    • Note: This is particularly critical for Cheerleading.

  • Grandfathering & Documentation: It is vital that families adhere to all district timelines regarding "grandfathering" notifications. Coaches will use this data to ensure athletes are placed on the correct campus roster for spring tryouts.

  • Spring Football: High school football players transitioning to a new campus will be invited to participate in spring practices at their newly zoned high school. Schedules for these practices will be released early in the spring semester.

  • Middle School Continuity: Rising middle school athletes will have the same tryout opportunities at their new campuses as they would have had at their current locations. No student will be disadvantaged by the rezoning process.

Communication & Summer Integration

  • Meet the Coach Events: Head coaches from all programs will host introductory meetings for transitioning athletes and their families. These sessions are designed to build relationships and answer campus-specific questions.

  • Summer Programming: Detailed information regarding summer camps, skill sessions, and Strength & Conditioning (S&C) programs for the 2026 summer will be provided to all transitioning athletes to ensure a seamless "Day One" experience.

  • Information Sharing: Coaches at both the current and future campuses will work in tandem to transfer athletic profiles and ensure parents feel confident and informed throughout the move.

Fine Arts

2026-2027 Rezoning: Fine Arts Transition Guide

All Fine Arts teachers and directors will collaborate to review and discuss each student who will transition to a new school in order to ensure a smooth and well supported transition.

Elementary Fine Arts
Elementary Fine Arts programs in music and art follow a unified curriculum so that students at all campuses have equal access to high quality instruction and equipment. This alignment ensures consistent learning experiences for all learners. Students who will be attending new schools will have the opportunity to meet their fine arts teachers, helping them feel welcomed and supported as they transition.

Secondary Fine Arts
Secondary Fine Arts students who will be attending a new school will have strong support as they transition. Every student will have the chance to meet their new teacher or director and continue active participation in Fine Arts. Performing arts auditions typically occur in April and May, and in most cases, students will be placed in a class or ensemble that matches or is above their current level of participation. Before auditions, their new director will contact students and parents with further details. However, students can ask their current director about any opportunities to meet their new director at upcoming recruiting and performance events.
