McKinney, TX β This summer, McKinney ISD is proud to participate in the U.S. Department of Agricultureβs SUN Meals program, offering free, nutritious meals to all children and teens 18 and under. Through SUN Meals, families can ensure their kids continue to eat well when school is outβno registration or ID required.
βGood nutrition shouldnβt take a summer break,β said James Shoemake, Student Nutrition District Manager of McKinney ISD. βSUN Meals makes it easy for our communityβs children to stay fueled and focused throughout the summer.β

The USDAβs SUN Meals program helps ensure children have access to healthy meals and snacks throughout the summer months when school meals are not available. Meals follow USDA nutrition guidelines and are served in a safe, supervised environment.
