When it comes to our youngest learners, celebrate the "practice" of reading. Reading for our littles can be simply looking at the illustrations and imagining a story. This takes courage. Build them up at every attempt. Their courage will transform into confidence.

McGowen is so excited to start buddy classrooms once a month! This past month each classroom was paired with a buddy class to do activities. Our buddy classes were established to promote leadership, positive student mentorship, and a sense of belonging for all of our students. ❤️

This year's Book Fair is going to be epic! Visit the McGowen book fair on the evening of March 11, from 4:30-6:00pm. Then head to the gym for the first-ever Math Night from 6:00-7:00 pm. Bring your family to this event and students will receive a free book bag for book fair shopping and math night goodies.
