Marisa Cherry is the 2025 Teacher of the Year for McClure Elementary. She teaches 2nd grade, and she has worked as an educator for 11 years.

Philip Hassler Visits McClure Elementary

During January all members of the McKinney ISD school board are being welcomed to various campuses across the district as we celebrate school board appreciation month.

Mr. Hassler enjoyed a lovely visit with the students and staff at McClure as he weaved in and out of classrooms, experiencing life as a McClure Marshall for the morning.

McClure Elementary art teacher, Alyssa Norsworthy, displayed 6 portraits of Hispanic artists in the hallway at school as she fused art projects with heritage lessons during this month. Check out how these 1st graders depict of one Mexico's most famous painters.
