Report Card Information

December 30, 2024

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we wrap up the first semester, I wanted to provide some important updates regarding your child's academic progress. The first semester ended on Friday, December 20, 2024, and report card grades will be viewable in the Home Access Center (HAC) on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 5:00 PM.

In addition to report cards, 9th grade parents will also have access to your child's MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) results.

Students in 9th and 10th grade will have their GPA and class rank calculated at the end of the school year.  Our 11th grade students will have their GPA and class rank calculated at the end of the first semester as well as at the end of the school year.  Lastly, our seniors will have their GPA and class rank calculated at the end of the first semester and at the end of the third quarter for final ranking purposes.

To assist you, I have included a guide on how to access HAC, information to better understand the MAP results, as well as additional information about GPA and class rank:

  • How to Access HAC: LINK

  • MAP results: LINK

  • GPA information: LINK

Thank you for your partnership in supporting your child’s success.  I encourage you to review these results with your child and have meaningful discussions about their learning progress.  Should you have specific questions regarding a grade, I encourage you to reach out to that individual teacher.

Sincerely,

David Hodum

Good afternoon!

I hope all of you are having a wonderful break so far!  At our house, we've already done our holiday traveling and taken down all of our Christmas decorations.  My kids are still young, so we're running through a playlist of things to keep them entertained.  So far, aside from Christmas festivities, we've gone to the movies, seen the Dallas Zoo Lights, and we're headed to the Minecraft Experience in Plano later this week.  At this rate we'll need to go back to work to get a break from our break!

Looking ahead, I'm excited to see our Boyd Staff on January 6th for our Teacher Workday and for our Broncos to return on January 7th.  See you all very soon!

-Dr. Hodum
