Dominium and Consequi spent time during our Friday House lessons learning what it means to fill someone's bucket! We focused on the Jaguar Essential, "Be kind with your hands, feet, words, and actions."

Each week, we focus on one of our house essentials to practice being the best person we can be! This week's essential was: Be kind with your hands, feet, words, and actions.
Students in every class worked hard all week to show this essential in the classroom, hallways, specials, recess and cafe! One student was selected to earn the weekly Essential Trophy from each class and got to come shop the ROAR store! Next week it'll be a new essential and we look forward to seeing who will be chosen from each class!
Essential Trophy Thursdays might be our new favorite addition to the house system this year!

The RJE 5th grade Science classes explored phenomena involving TEKS 5.6A to launch the first Unit of the year.
At Reuben Johnson Elementary, they say that they are "Four Houses, One Family," and on Friday, Aug. 2, Principal Kristen Patterson, AP Ebonie Walls and the RJE staff (along with help from MHS cheerleaders) held their 2nd annual RJE House Sorting Rally to place new students in the house of Dominium (Purple), Consequi (Blue), Paratus (Green) or Integritas (Red). Each student received a bracelet and a shirt—and an instant point of connection with other RJE students throughout the school! Check out more photos of the fun on the MISD Facebook page!
