Bennett's Winter 3-5 Fine Arts Night was magical. Students in grades 3 - 5 had the opportunity to display a piece of artwork in the hallway gallery for all families to enjoy. Each of the three grade levels performed folk dances for families. And the evening finished with our Bennett Choir performing several unique winter songs featuring 3 soloists and a round robin style song. Please join us in congratulating our students efforts and thanking each of our Specials teachers, Ms. Daubenspeck, Mrs. Arias, and Coach Evans for their commitment to student creativity and expression.
The MEF made a special delivery at Bennett today! Thank you to our Bennett parents Ms. White and Ms..& Mr. Burgess who helped deliver to our teachers today. Our school will get a Book Machine for the Learning commons and a 3-D printer for our 4th grade social studies classroom. After our weekly staff meeting today, our Bennett staff spent quality time together. Under the guidance of Art Teacher Mrs D, staff used acrylic and alcohol paints to create watercolor/mosaic ornaments. It was such a great way to relax together and try something new!

This week in P.E., all Bennett students participated in the 2025 Stack Up! They were trying to help break a world record of the "most people sport stacking at multiple locations." Our bears had fun competing against each other in the 3, 3, 3 as well as the 3, 6, 3, stack challenges. Check out some of the fun!
Today wrapped up our Thanksgiving/Fall festivities with our 2nd grade Thanksgiving Day parade and a Turkey Trot in P.E. for all students. Enjoy a few photos from the events. Have a safe and restful Thanksgiving Break!

Turkey Trot Fun in PE today! Our students had a glow run to kick off our Thanksgiving Break!! Every student received 2 glow sticks and a brag tag thanks to our Big Kahina school fundraiser. Thank you for supporting out students so we can provide amazing events to our Bears!

1st Grade shout out from Elementary Science Content Coordinator Teresa Bilyeu! First graders explored pushes and pulls recently and were able to share their experience with Mrs. Bilyeu. From a well organized set up, to student collaboration, our 1st grade team and their students demonstrated their dedication to science.

3rd grade celebrated National STEAM day with LEGO coding.
Book Fair Previews fill us with such joy! Seeing the library transformed, finding favorite characters, and new books to bring home is so exciting. Kinder and 1st created a wish list in SeeSaw and 3rd-5th created a paper version. Check those accounts and bags- they have lots to share!
Previews finish tomorrow: sales begin Friday 2:30pm-4:00pm. We are open Monday-Friday next week 7:40am-3:40pm.
2nd grade's month of STEAM continued this week with Dash robots and Blockly coding. Students learned how to care for Dash and the basics of block coding. Next week, they'll be challenged to code their Dash through a giant map of NYC replicating the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.
