The Bennett Bears’ Learning Commons has been THE place to be. Makerspace mornings encourage students to try new things. Students have made Halloween lanterns, learned how to create braided bookmarks recycling damaged book pages, Lego challenges, and even ISpy.

Kinder and 1st grade have been practicing all their library skills in stations. Working together in their groups to complete scavenger hunts, rhyming words or sequencing a story helps build collaborative partnerships. 2nd-5th rotate through in small groups to find new reads and attempt reading challenge which encourage them to try new types of stories. Other activities include our StickTogether mural, Read and Ride Bikes, and the current seasonal favorite, Adopt a Ghost. The 4th and 5th grade library crews have been hard at work keeping books shelved, creating banners, bookmarks, cleaning up book stickers, and preparing for book fair. They are working hard to make sure the library runs smoothly for the whole school community! And finally, the BBLC recently welcomed Mrs. Mohran our new flex aide to the library. She has been instrumental in helping our students at the circulation desk, find books, and with our library stations. Thanks to the dedication of our school community the BBLC is the place to be!
