McKinney ISD celebrated its top teachers at the new MISD Community Event Center on Thursday, April 4, as it held its annual Teacher of the Year Dinner and announced its MISD Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year. Marlana Dumas from Minshew Elementary was named the district’s 2019 Elementary Teacher of the Year, and Cockrill Middle School’s Alisha Jonker was named the MISD Secondary Teacher of the Year.
Jake Sikora, a former student at Webb Elementary and now an environmental policy major at the University of Delaware, revisited his roots during his semester break to help the kids at Webb with a research project.
McKinney ISD has named current principal of Sigler Elementary in Plano ISD, Matt Arend, as the new principal of McClure Elementary.

McKinney ISD is pleased to announce that NCAA officials have chosen MISD Stadium as the host site for the 2019–2021 Division II Football National Championship games.
The McKinney ISD Mother’s Day Out Program (MDO ) is currently accepting applications for the 2019-2020 school year. This is a licensed child care program with a focus on early childhood education and kindergarten readiness. This fee-based program is open to MISD residents.
