Parents and Teachers Working Together

The PTA is an integral part of your child’s school experience. Through the PTA, we invite parents and teachers to unite in an atmosphere of communication and awareness, so we may together support the highest standard of education for our children. We encourage your involvement in this partnership to facilitate a successful and positive learning environment for our students.

Wolford, has an active and vibrant PTA. Our PTA is successful because of the dedication, hard work, and participation of our many parent volunteers. We invite all parents to participate. The more we work together, the more our children benefit! Please visit our PTA’s website for wealth of information.  As our community can only benefit when parents and teachers work together with common goals!

Communication is key…Our goal is to help our campus harness the power of communication to reach outside the physical walls of our school!

Communication is another vital part of the Wolford Way.  Our campus strives to communicate to parents and students in a variety of ways.   One main way is to sign up for weekly electronic communications that can be obtained  by signing up for the school by PTA newsletter .  Personal or group e-mails , campus web page updates, and grade level websites are other avenues that are commonly used to relay pertinent information. Parent Link phone calls may be utilized by the principal to convey information through the phone.   Students in 4th and 5th grades  along with parent accounts have been created in Edmodo  to extend our classrooms into digital 24/7 resources.  Edmodo is an education specific web resource that is similar to social networking pages.  It encourages educational connections, collaborations, and content sharing.  Wolford also maintains  a campus Facebook page to reach out to others in this widely, popular format.  Lastly, face to face parent conferences and curriculum nights are still traditionally used to communicate academic expectations and specific education plans.
