About Webb

J.W. Webb Elementary was established in 1953 and was one of the four original elementary schools in McKinney.  At that time, it was called East Ward.

J.W. Webb Elementary delivers a distinctive, challenging and enriching educational experience to kindergarten-5th grade students. Building a strong academic and social foundation is paramount at the elementary level. For this reason, McKinney ISD teachers and staff are committed to teaching the “whole child” in our elementary schools. The elementary curriculum is consistent from campus to campus, ensuring a highquality education regardless of the school, yet allowing teachers the latitude to develop innovative strategies that are tailored to the individual child.

J.W. Webb currently has approximately 380 students in K-5 and is also the home campus for the ALPHA Gifted & Talented program in McKinney ISD.  Webb currently has 11 iPads in each k-1st classroom and students in 2nd – 5th grades each have their own laptop.
