Slaughter Elementary School, named after Earl H. Slaughter, was originally a junior high dedicated in 1974 and became an elementary school in 2003. Slaughter serves over 500 students from kindergarten to fifth grade, with a diverse population of students including bilingual and emergent bilingual learners. The staff believes in collective responsibility for student success, following the motto: "In it Together!" Slaughter's mission is to provide engaging learning experiences to help students become good communicators, contributors, and responsible citizens.
