Malvern has five Houses for its students and staff members. These are the Houses of Strength, Loyalty, Impact, Courage and Excellence.

House of Loyalty: We are Achievers.

Malvern Elementary is full of achievers! Malvern teachers and staff hold high expectations for themselves and their students. Our staff works as a family to support students and our community. Our passion for our students and dedication to our jobs leads to strong academic growth from students. High performance from Malvern staff leads students to become achievers themselves. Goal setting is the Malvern way! Students set goals and work hard to reach their individual goals. Our school culture encourages students to set high expectations for themselves as well. Student achievement is recognized at school celebrations. Students are also given the opportunity to achieve in areas of individual strengths through different clubs or groups.

House of Excellence: We are Diverse.

Since its opening in 2001, Malvern has had a long standing tradition of celebrating diversity. Malvern’s namesakes Albert & Iola Davis Malvern were two of the first African American educators to teach in Mckinney after desegregation. Malvern staff and students currently represent 19 different countries across the world. Our annual Multicultural Fair is one way our families share their cultures and traditions with the community. We continually strive for ways to celebrate our cultures through our everyday instruction.

House of Strength: We are Family.

Malvern is named in honor of Albert & Iola Lee Davis Malvern who instilled a sense of family and belonging in those around them.  Those who come through the doors of Malvern become part of the Red Hawk family.  We encourage each other, empower one another, dream together, work together, and make sure everyone feels welcome.  Like birds of a feather we flock together everywhere we go.  (feathers are thicker than blood).

House of Courage: We are Kind.

Malvern is a community that leads through kindness. We embrace diversity by celebrating our many different cultures. We provide a safe place to make mistakes which fosters a community of support. Because we recognize the potential in all, we have high expectations and encourage each other to succeed. We give generously to our community.

House of Impact: We are Leaders.
At Malvern Elementary, we believe that being a leader means embodying the qualities of responsibility, integrity, and compassion. Our school is dedicated to fostering a community where every student is empowered to develop the skills and mindset necessary to make positive contributions to both our school environment and the world beyond. A leader at Malvern Elementary takes the initiative to inspire their peers through actions that reflect respect, inclusivity, and empathy. Our leaders embrace challenges as learning opportunities, and demonstrate perseverance in the face of adversity. They serve as role models, promoting values of kindness and teamwork, while always striving for personal growth and academic excellence. Leaders at Malvern Elementary lead by example, leaving a lasting impact on our school community and beyond."
