McKinney High School Theatre Mission Statement

The McKinney High School Theatre Program is dedicated to the well-rounded education of theatre arts students. Through a variety of academic and performance opportunities, we strive to instill a life-long love of theatre and creativity in our students. Our goal is to provide our students with applicable life, work, and performance skills as they become creators, innovators, and leaders of tomorrow.

MHS Theatre is a place of stellar performances, classes and educational opportunities that stretch imaginations and grow skills in all aspects of theatre arts! In addition to the excellence of our theatre program...a strong theatre community gives students so much more…

MHS Theatre Boosters is a parent volunteer organization whose goal is to connect theatre parents, teachers and students together to create a strong and supported school theatre community. We value our volunteers and we hope that everyone will take the opportunity to make a difference by serving as a volunteer or an MHS Theatre Booster Board Member, if it fits into your schedule.

Your MHS Theatre Booster Membership and generous donations are an incredibly valuable resource that help bolster and support this community by providing things such as:

• college scholarships to Senior Theatre Students

• items for meals, healthy snacks and hydration for all participating fine arts students during production Tech Weeks

• organization and management of theater facilities

• workshops that provide students with extra training

• funds for transportation to and from DFW theatrical productions and theatre education events

• rotary saw, toolbox, and other tools for our Theatre Tech Set Build area

• chaperones for events like: Texas Thespians, UIL, Dallas Summer Musical Awards

Membership Levels

• Basic Membership ($30)

  • Includes Family Membership to the McKinney High School Theatre Booster Club

  • communications regarding upcoming events, Spirit Nights, and volunteer opportunities

  • an MHS Theatre Car Decal

• Blue Level Membership ($60)

  • Includes all Basic Membership benefits in addition to:

  • Half of a Senior Celebration Table (3') free at the End of Year Banquet

  • Advanced Ticket Sales to all performances

• Gold Level Membership ($100)

  • Includes all Basic and Blue Level Membership benefits in addition to:

    • an upgrade to Full Senior Table (6') at Banquet

    • Custom Theatre Yard Sign
