Compliance Due Prior to Tryouts

Online forms (Due June 1st) for Rank One needs to be filled out Online Compliance Paperwork Or go to the MISD Athletics website and you will find the paperwork there.

BIRTH CERTIFICATES AND PROOF OF RESIDENCIES MUST BE UPLOADED BY A COACH*

1. Physicals: An up to date physical should be completed PRIOR to participation in summer camps, skills, PC, or tryouts.

MISD offers on campus physicals at different times & locations through the spring:

*See the attached email with specific dates and times. If your daughter can’t make one of the MISD physical dates, she will need to get her physical done through a physician.

All physicals must be completed on the colored cardstock form provided by the MISD coaches/athletic trainers on the athlete’s current campus.

2. Proof of Residency - Utility Bill: We will not be accepting any utility bills until July. The “Dates of Service” range must fall within 45 days of the first day of season.

The “DATES OF SERVICE” (not the billing/due date) must include June 20, 2026

Proof of Residency Requirements

➔ Acceptance based on the “DATES OF SERVICE”, not the billing or due date.

➔ Document CANNOT be a screen shot, it has to be the original long form (PDF) with the address and dates of service visible. The acceptable forms of this required document are an electric bill or a gas bill.

➔ The bill must be assigned to your current address which must be zoned for McKinney Boyd High School and must match the student enrollment address on file in RankOne.

➔ If you recently moved into a new house that is zoned for McKinney Boyd and haven’t received a bill yet, we will accept your mortgage or renting paperwork (PDF).

3. Copy of Birth Certificate - Incoming Freshman and New to MBHS (Due June 1st): Please email a copy to Coach Braddock mbraddock@mckinneyisd.net

Tryout Conditioning Requirements

800 Yard Shuttle Requirements:

Varsity: 7:30 min total

Junior Varsity: 7:45 min total

Freshman A/B: 8:00 min total

Athletes will complete two 800 yard shuttle runs. The times above are the total times they are required to make in order to be considered for each team.

Example: A Varsity player runs 1st 800 yard shuttle in 3:30 and 2nd 800 yard shuttle in 4:00. Those combined times equal 7:30 min and that player has passed the conditioning portion of tryouts and is eligible to make a team. Players will need to make these times prior to being assigned a jersey and allowed to participate in a match. The player can still make a team even if they do not make their 800 yard shuttle times on day 1. They will have multiple opportunities during morning workouts to make the 800 yard shuttles required time for their team.

Session I: 7:00am-10:00am

7:00am-8:00am*800 yard shuttle

8:20am-10:00am-Volleyball

Session II: 1:30pm-3:30pm

*Teams will be announced right after the tryouts

*Individual Meetings will be held when practices start the following week*
