Marcus Shavers is the New Head Football Coach of McKinney High School
Marcus Shavers has been hired as the new head football coach of McKinney High School following the departure of Jeff Smith, who accepted a position as the assistant athletic director in Prosper ISD earlier this month.

American Airlines Awards MISD $25,000 Grant for Aviation Program
McKinney ISD was one of only 10 organizations chosen by American Airlines—from among 600—to receive a grant that would benefit the district’s aviation program. The $25,000 grant will allow the district to purchase additional flight simulators that help drive down the cost of pilot training.
