For 2021, the Faubion Cambiata Tenor-Bass Choir has earned the highly coveted distinction of being named a Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Middle School Invited Choir. That means that they have been chosen to perform at the renowned TMEA Clinic/Convention which is held in San Antonio each February. To be invited is an honor bestowed upon only a handful of Texas middle school choir ensembles each year—just four in 2021.

McKinney North Orchestra Director Lamar Smith Earns Director of Distinction Award from the Texas Orchestra Directors Association

USDA Waiver Allows Meals at No Cost through School Year 2021-2022, Free & Reduced Application Still Vital

McKinney ISD has announced its policy that this school year, healthy meals will be offered every school day to all students at no cost. Typically, a student’s household must meet income eligibility requirements to qualify for free or reduced-price meals. However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued guidance that allows schools to offer meals to all students at no cost for the 2021-2022 school year.
