A Rocketry Team from MHS Takes on the College Crowd at the NASA Student Launch Initiative
In April, a rocketry team from McKinney High School competed in the NASA Student Launch Initiative held near the Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama. They competed among university teams from across the country with an 8-ft. rocket that they designed and built to fly up to a mile high, deploy an automated drone and return a fragile cargo safely back to earth.
