School starts Wednesday, August 10. Elementary school hours are 8 a.m. to 3:07 p.m., middle school hours are 8:45 a.m. to 3:52 p.m., and high school hours are 7:30 a.m. to 2:37 p.m. We look forward to seeing you!

The Stock Market Game: MISD Students Sweep Podium at Dallas Regional

Three McKinney ISD Gifted and Talented 4th and 5th-grade teams—competing among 200 other groups—swept the podium in the Dallas Regional competition of the Stock Market Game. Those three teams also finished 7th, 9th, and 17th in the state, respectively, from among 1,350 other teams, across all competition grade levels.

MISD Names Dr. Ebonee King Principal of Valley Creek Elementary

On Tuesday night, at the April meeting of the MISD Board of Trustees, the district announced that King will be the new principal of Valley Creek Elementary.

Today, TEPSA (Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association) announced that Reuben Johnson Elementary Assistant Principal Rachel Corbin has been named the 2022 National Assistant Principal of the Year for Texas. But, Corbin won’t have much time to enjoy the award before her title changes from AP to principal. MISD has named Corbin the new principal of Press Elementary.
